Monthly Support Meetings
PFLAG Cullman hosts in-person monthly support meetings. These meetings provide an opportunity for anyone connected to the LGBTQIA+ community to share their experiences and find reassurance and support. Some attendees might identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Other attendees others may have a family member or friend who is LGBTQIA+. Each person may be at different stages of acceptance and understanding, which is why it's important for everyone to find peer support and education.
Privacy & Safety
PFLAG support meetings are intended to be a confidential and safe place for people to share their stories. As a general principle, who you see and what you hear at support meetings is intended to remain private and confidential. Recording, pictures, and notes are not allowed.
Agenda
In addition to support, meetings might also feature education and/or advocacy components. We always strive to begin and end our meetings on time. Each meeting is led by a trained facilitator to keep everyone on course and structured.
